A little while ago my upline, Alisa, ran a swap for her girls to participate in. This is what I created.
The colors I used were Old Olive, Pacific Point, Summer Sun & Rose Red along with the matching inks. I used the background stamp En Francais on the Summer Sun square and using the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set I stamped the largest stamp on the four different colored cardstocks. I cut out each piece as I wanted it and layered with dimensionals one on top of the other until I got the full flower. I inked around each individual part of the flower in matching inks. The sentiment is the one that comes in the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set.
Overall I was quite happy with the result.

Stamp with Us - Sketch Challenge
Today I finally did a sketch challenge from the Stamp with Us site. I am not at all sure if I really like it, however, you be the judge and let me know what you think.
The colors I used are:
Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Apricot Accent, Ruby Red, Basic Black and Whisper White.
The insert of my "sun" was taken from a tutorial by Michelle Zindorf (Go check out her work, she is amazing). I clear heat embossed the Upsy Daisy stamp in Old Olive, then brayered Apricot Appeal over the top of the card. Punched out a circle 1 3/8" on a post it note and brayered over Pumpkin Pie and then Ruby Red. Stamped over image using Basic Black and gently patted the black off the embossed areas. Used a white gel pen to highlight areas of the flowers and heat sealed. Once again I stamped Old Olive over from the original stamp (after stamping once on scrap paper to take off excess ink), giving a more behind the scenes look.
My "ribbon" was made using a 1/2" piece of Apricot Appeal overlaid by a piece of 3/8" Old Olive card that had been sponged with Old Olive ink.
The "Best Wishes" sentiment was stamped using the Oval All stamp onto Whisper White card in Apricot Appeal and then overstamped using Basic Black. It was punched out using the Wide Oval Punch.

Stamp with Alisa Color Challenge 2 and Sketch Challenge 1
Welcome to my blog where I hope to share with you all my creations.
I had a lovely lazy day yesterday here in my craft room watching Elvis dvds as I created 2 cards for my Stamp with Alisa page.
The first one is the Color Challenge 2. The colors are Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Red Riding Hood, Cameo Coral and Whisper White.
Here is my card.
Clear Chocolate Chip embossed the Upsy Daisy across the three color panels. Mounted them on Whisper White then on Choc Chip. Added Choc Chip Taffeta Ribbon around bottom and used the Stampin' Up Oval All stamp set on a bit of Whisper White then positioned on a Red Riding Hood Wide Scallop Oval.
I am quite pleased with the results as this is my first challenge.
The second card is Sketch Challenge 1. In this challenge I used Creamy Caramel as the card base with So Saffron, Close to Cocoa and Whisper White.
And here is my card.
The middle tree is clear embossed with Close to Cocoa and the other two are clear embossed in Creamy Caramel. The tree card is also sponged faintly in Close to Cocoa as is the card itself. The Thank you sentiment is a retired Rub On from the Cherished Memories Range.
Thanks for looking. Have a nice day.
